Quality Shift Manager

We’re looking for a proactive Quality Shift Manager to join our Quality Control team at AMK Peterborough, working a 4 on 4 off day-shift pattern. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Quality within a food or FMCG environment who has already taken on leadership responsibilities and is looking to progress further into their management journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Quality team during day shifts, ensuring work is carried out safely, accurately, and to agreed standards
• Promote and maintain high standards of food safety, quality, hygiene, and compliance across site
• Monitor product quality through inspections, stock re-evaluations, and quality checks, taking action where required
• Manage priorities on shift, making sound decisions under pressure and escalating issues appropriately
• Work collaboratively with Operations, Technical, and other departments to support right-first-time production
• Coach, develop, and support team members through day-to-day leadership, training, and performance conversations
• Ensure accurate quality records, reports, and traceability are completed in line with customer and regulatory requirements

• Experience in Quality Control within food or FMCG environments
• Previous experience leading or managing people in a similar role or setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make effective decisions under pressure
• A flexible, hands-on, and team-oriented approach
