Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner

At AM FRESH, we're looking for a commercially astute and ambitious finance professional to join our team as a Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner. Working within our AMT business unit, you will become the day-to-day finance lead supporting one of the UK's largest supermarket supply partnerships, providing insight and challenge that drives profitable growth.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, you'll partner closely with Commercial, Procurement and Operational leaders, helping shape strategic decisions, influence commercial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability across the value chain. You'll also lead and develop a Management Accountant while collaborating with wider finance teams across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across the business.
• Delivering commercial insight, trend analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.
• Managing customer profitability analysis and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Owning month-end reporting, overhead control and financial governance activities.
• Supporting tender processes and commercial negotiations through robust financial analysis.
• Driving continuous improvement across processes, systems and reporting, including the ongoing development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and business intelligence capabilities.

We're looking for a qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen, exceptional analytical capability and a proven track record of business partnering at a senior level.

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Experience in a Commercial Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Commercial Finance Manager or similar role.
• Previous experience within FMCG, fresh produce, manufacturing, retail or other fast-moving operational environments.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and management accounting expertise.
• Experience identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities and commercial improvements.
• The confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders while building strong working relationships.
• Experience leading and developing finance team members.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
• Experience with ERP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 exposure being advantageous.
• A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
