  • What are we looking for?
     

    As the Corporate Strategy Associate, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, supporting mergers and acquisitions, and driving high-impact initiatives. Reporting directly to the Strategy Manager/Director, this role significantly contributes to the organization's overall strategy and performance. 

    Location: Madrid

    Modality: 100% on-site

    The primary objectives of this role include:

    • Support Strategy Cycle activities:
    Collaborate in the preparation of Board of Directors and ExCom meetings, and support the Group Corporate and Business Strategy review and developments.
     
    • Lead Strategic initiatives:
    Coordinate strategic projects to drive organizational growth, foster technological advancement, and align with emerging trends, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results. Support the definition and execution of corporate and business strategy initiatives, including strategy cycle reviews, strategic plan development, and other priority strategic initiatives.
     
    • Develop Competitive Dynamics perspective:
    Analyze industry business metrics, conduct competition analyses, follow up competitive landscape, and track market trends and dynamics.
     
    • Support M&A activities:
    Support the full M&A lifecycle –from identifying, evaluating, and executing merger & acquisition opportunities to managing due diligence, financial analysis, deal negotiations, and post-merger integration.
     
    • Collaborate with Group’s top Projects:
    Support the execution of special projects and initiatives assigned by the CSO for ExCom stakeholders, collaborating with finance, operations, commercial, marketing, and human resources teams to gather data and develop materials aligned with company priorities.
     
  • About You

  • Qualifications and Competencies
     
    • Ideal candidate should have 2-4 years’ experience in top management consulting firm or investment banking.
     
    • Demonstrated leadership skills: successfully collaborate with CEO and ExCo members to execute assignments and deliver results efficiently.
     
    • Strategic thinking, change leadership, cross-functional collaboration and sound project management skills.
     
    • M&A expertise in participating/managing and executing mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration M&A experience.
     
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to diverse and evolving business needs.
     
    • Strong analytical (Excel) skills, problem-solving capabilities and technological acumen. Ability to develop impactful presentation decks (PowerPoint).
     
    • Proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
     
    • Attention to detail coupled with strategic thinking. High curiosity and a hunger to learn.
