Senior Finance Business Partner - Operations

We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Operations Finance team, supporting our AMK Fresh site in Peterborough.

This is a senior finance role for a qualified accountant with strong commercial and operational finance experience. You will take ownership of site-level financial performance, including P&L insight, margins, overheads, savings opportunities and operational efficiency.

Working closely with Heads of Department and the Operations Director, you will provide clear, commercial insight that helps the site make effective decisions and improve performance. You will play a key role in reviewing weekly and monthly results, identifying risks and opportunities, and challenging the business on cost, margin and efficiency.

Alongside this, you will support short and medium-term planning, including 3, 9 and 12-month outlooks, forecasting, budgeting and scenario planning. This is also a leadership role, with responsibility for managing and developing a small team of part-qualified finance professionals, ensuring accurate reporting, strong analysis and continuous improvement in how financial information is used across the site.

Key areas of focus will include:

• Owning and reviewing site P&L performance, margins, overheads and key financial trends.
• Partnering with site leadership to support operational decision-making.
• Providing insight, challenge and recommendations to improve performance and reduce cost.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and short to medium-term financial planning.
• Driving continuous improvement in reporting, processes and ways of working.
• Leading, coaching and developing a small Operations Finance team.
• Ensuring financial information is accurate, clear and used effectively by stakeholders.

We are looking for a qualified accountant, ideally ACCA or CIMA, with strong experience in a senior finance business partnering or commercial finance role.

You will have experience working in FMCG, manufacturing or another fast-paced operational environment, with a proven ability to partner with senior operational leaders and influence decision-making through clear financial insight.

You will bring:

• Strong post-qualification experience, ideally 3+ years.
• Experience in senior business partnering, commercial finance or operations finance.
• A strong understanding of P&L performance, margins, overheads, budgeting and forecasting.
• The ability to challenge, influence and support senior non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modelling and scenario planning.
• Experience managing, mentoring or developing junior finance team members.
• A proactive, commercially astute and resilient approach.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience using ERP systems and reporting tools such as Power BI preferred.
