Quality Shift Manager - Packhouse

About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Quality Shift Manager to oversee quality control operations during your shift. You’ll support the Quality Manager and lead the QC team to ensure high standards in product quality, food safety, and compliance are consistently met.

This role is within our Packhouse Quality Team, working with your Production colleagues to ensure finished goods are sent to customers within the correct specification.

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, you will:
Lead daily QC activities, ensuring all areas are adequately covered and performance targets are met

Act as the departmental lead in the absence of the Quality Manager (weekends, holidays, etc.)

Identify training needs and assist in delivering quality and product knowledge sessions

Supervise labelling, product checks, and positive release processes before dispatch

Maintain accurate quality records and manage the quality database

Monitor hygiene, site rules, and health & safety standards; report issues promptly

Support audits, HR-related tasks, and act as site contact for customer or supplier visits

Contribute to staff performance reviews, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives

We have 1 permanent opportunity and 1 maternity cover vacancy also for 12 months.
About You
- Experience in quality control within food or FMCG environments
- Previous experience leading/managing within a similar environment/role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and make decisions under pressure
- Flexible and team-oriented with a hands-on approach
